Tully Mountain
Tully Mountain definitely provides the best view over the seashore and the whole Connemara area. If you are lucky you can look as far as to the Croagh Patrick near Westport and southwards as far as to the whole Galway Bay.

You also have splendid views over the Twelve Bens of Connemara. Unfortunately there is no marked path up to the top but you should start your way on one of the not so steep sides to climb the top or it can get very exhausting. Well, actually, there is not only one top but three tops, each one marked with a little stone or a pile of stones.

There are even small lakes on top. The whole mountain is heather-clad, which gives it kind of a purple shade. I really liked the walking tour and just to climb the mountain takes about 2 hours. The whole circuit of the mountain should take about 3,5 hours.
